How do you do? My name is Bob Wright, from Memphis, Tennessee. Not so much a collector as an enthusiast. Sort of backed into cameras trying to photograph my guns and cartridges. Was a fan of Canon SLRs, got into birdwatching, wildlife and travel photography. Worked for an engineering firm for thirty years, retired since 2006.
Been a handgunner for over fifty years, documented my guns and shooting with my cameras. Also got into making models of old time (1920~1930 vintage) autos out of wood. Loved my old Canon FTb and FX.
Always enjoy looking a photos of vintage 35mm, especially the folders and RFs.
Thank you allowing me to join.

Welcome Bob Wright.
Thank you for picking us.
I too am an old Canoneer. From FTbn to T90.
I am sure you will find people here with whom to share your passions - guns, cameras, model cars - even the pig BBQ's.

Thank you for your response. We were in Toronto many years ago, took the harbor cruise. One thing I definitely remember is passing that old Landcaster bomber on static display along the way.

That old Lancaster has, for years, now been undergoing restoration by volunteers of The Canadian Air and Space Museum. Unfortunately we have been ousted from our quarters and are hunting for a new home or a very rich multimillionaire. We may have located a site near Pearson International Airport. Now for the building. Here is the old plane in in its present but hopefully temporary state of suspended animation. Mickey

Welcome Bob, there are a lot of enthousiasts here!
Better than the other way around...
Years ago I was active in the shooting competition with an Anschutz - 50m rimfire. More for fun I did also the 25m handgun with a 38mm S&W and - amazingly well... - with a .375 Magnum Sauer (well, mostly loaded with 38mm). Also for fun I had a Mauser 98 for the 100m. After my competitive period I had to give up all this hardware due to our strict laws.
