How have you tried?......, it is in profiles, and as long as the size is not too big it just up loads from any picture file on your computer. Stephen.

It is kind of confusing. Choose the upload function underneath the "uploaded/linked picture" AND "use only uploaded/linked picture" should be chosen on the left side too. Plus ... don't forget to save your action after changing the avatar. Then, it should work.

I tried to upload a 80x100 px, 1,530 bytes - not too big... but the upload function failed miserably. maybe it wasn't my day... I'll try anew today. Hans

Congratulations ... and I can see your Avatar now. Oh and I discovered, that this new forum platform has a Facebooky "Like-Button" now One "Like" for the "Like-Button" and one for your Avatar

I opted to go back to no avatar like before the changes. If you select no avatar, then you end up with the generic avatar. I uploaded a 1x1 pixel blank gif image which has the effect of the old no avatar.
