Hi there! I just got my pricey (5 dollar) Zenit in the mail. It's in very nice, clean working condition I put the lens from my GAF on it to test the meter, but no matter what battery I tried, 625, 675, whatever, it wouldn't budge. That's ok though as it will give me the opportunity to use my old hand held meter, a Porst. I've had it for at least 20 years and it's never let me down. Oh yes, here's the camera.......... I think we'll get along famously! Doug

I like the Zenit's with the Cyrillic script, they look 'right'. I've got a few Zenit's but all mine are export ones with Latin script, and none as new and fancy as this with TTL.

A home market version, never had any experience of the TTL circuits, it is nearly always rotting batteries that corrode the contacts that are behind meter troubles. Is it match needle, or LEDS like the last Zenits? Stephen

Love the old Zenits but how come everyone but me seems to find them so cheap. Recently paid £15 (about$22) for an Olympic memorabilia EM, it was in very nice condition but without the original Helios lens (thankfully my basket case EM had a good lens to donate.) Found a B this morning at the local carboot but it had a cracked prism, the seller still wanted £10 and swore blind there was nothing wrong with it. Ah well I'll keep looking. Matty

Hi Matty, and welcome to the forum! This is a great place to hang out I think with the Zenit, I just got lucky. Actually, It's getting harder to find good cameras over here ( I live in upstate New York). I did, however, make a major score at the local flea market which I will post in another section. Doug

Matty Matty, if you want a Zenit I have a B, two E, EM. I will probably keep one of the E's but the others ( and a few Practika's ) are up for grabs.
