Can't download a larger image. Not large enough to tell much.

Can't download a larger image. Not large enough to tell much. Wayne, Put your cursor on the picture you want enlarged. Press an hold the 'Option' key. Click your mouse. Release 'Option' key. At the bottom of the page a box will appear with the words 'C-Documents and Setting'. Put cursor on the box and click mouse. That should give you a nice big picture. Mickey

G'day All,
Looks like a Kodak Premo to me. There were plenty of models and sizes.
Regards, Chris

Mickey: Don't have an option key. Not a Mac. When I click on one of the photos, a file of some sort is downloaded to my computer but it isn't an image and can't be opened -- has no extension on the end.

It is one of those funny little square things on my iMac keyboard that I press and hope that it does something useful. Mickey

I guess you will just have to goi out and get a Mac. Hang on arf a mo. I need a magnifier. Does 'alt' mean anything other than the abbreviation for Alberta? Mickey

Wayne, just add the ".jpg" file extension to the end of the downloaded file(s), it'll open then.

Wayne, just add the ".jpg" file extension to the end of the downloaded file(s), it'll open then. Yep. yer right. That works. What kind of image doesn't have an extension? I'll bet Mickey spends his day down at the Apple Store in the Mall, waiting with the 20 somethings to see the next great thing.

I'll bet Mickey spends his day down at the Apple Store in the Mall, waiting with the 20 somethings to see the next great thing. [/font] The Apple store is one place I avoid like a rock concert. The din is worse than sitting on the wing of a 747 taking off. It is infested with young guys they call geniuses all of whom think they know more than they know and don't know what they don't know. The stores are always mobbed. It is not a case of first come first served. A numbering system would be too complex for them to comprehend. If you can draw their attention (pretty girls get served first) and ask for help their attempts to be of aid are mostly bluff - hit and miss. Their frequent trips to the bathroom are really to seek help from a senior genius hidden deep in the bowels of the stock room or, perhaps, the game room. Most of my Apple learning has been of the 'poke and pray' kind. That is why I know so little. I never mastered the abacus. But I do like that Macintosh machine and the apples they grow. Mickey

A useful program for images with unknown extensions is Infranview, it does not show automatically, but asks if you want to convert to jpg. It can show direct more picture formats than most graphic programs.(free windows program).
and yes, it looks a bit like a Kodak Premo...usually though Kodak put trademarks Stephen

I think the nearest match is the Eastman Kodak Star Premo, but details are not quite the same, Kodak did vary details quite often in longer production runs, and they made in several countries, causing more variations. Stephen.
