Been gone for a while and have just discovered that Webshots and my stored pictures there are no more. Isn't digital wonderful. Does anyone have a recommendation for an on-line photo storage. Webshots replacement, "Smile" does not seem very user friendly.

I use Photobucket. Back in the dark ages I used Webshots too.

After your post I went to look at my very old account in Webshots. A link for Webshots accounts login seems to be provided, but for some reason my Webshots username is not recognized anymore there. Nor is my e-mail recognized as that of a valid user. Digital is fleeting indeed.

If you were a free member of Webshots.com, your Webshots images were not automatically imported to Smile, and if you didn't log into smile.webshots.com before December 1 with your Webshots login credentials, your images did not transfer. Unfortunately since, American Greetings has shut down all of its servers, Smile will not be able to recover your images and transfer them over. We are truly sorry.

The new Smile operators must be crazy - they are going to be burned alive by Webshots users who received no mail, as in my case. And who is going to trust Smile with their pictures after this one?

My feelings exactly. I never heard from them either. Webshots was very convenient for sizing and posting pictures here and other places.
