I pushed the envelope a little tonight. Got out the TX 300 and screwed a 3X onto it. ISO to 3200, f8 (f22 equivalent)effective focal length north of 1400mm, 1/500 second. Propped against the corner of the house (neighbors giving me funny looks ) Untouched: little bit of unsharp, and contrast tweaked slightly Not the best moonshots I've ever seen, but kinda fun! Roy

Only for reference for those who want to try this sort of shot, and are new to it, the correct exposure is for a subject in bright sunlight!..less a bit for losses in the atmosphere etc., time exposures are not required with normal ISO settings. This of course only really applies to Lunar shots, it's more complex with general astrophotography. Mirrorless 4/3 digital cameras, or DSLR, work well for such shots, the effective doubling of focal length is very useful with long lens, and they attach very easily to telescopes, Stephen
