Since I acquired it several weeks ago, I've been carrying that "new" Mamiya 35-S rangefinder (c.1959) with me everywhere I go. I originally intended to run just a 12-exposure test roll through it, just to say it had been used...but I find I like carrying it...and I'm delighted by the picture quality I am getting. I've run the original 12, and two 24-exposure rolls through it already...and just loaded it up again! This was taken just before sunset a few days ago. A storm was rolling in from the west and I originally planned to take advantage of the forming clouds to do another "sunset" picture, when this scene caught my eye. Camera was, as I said, my Mamiya 35-S rangefinder. Kodak 200 film, exposure (if I remember correctly) was 1/125 @ f/5.6 (although it could have been f/8...I wasn't writing it down)

Ron all of those photos, you have posted from your rangefinder, are outstanding!! What is the focal length of the lens on that rangefinder? The one with the clouds rolling in, is superb as are the 2 with the road curving. Hey Ron.....bad strategy... ..you showing us how fine those Mamiya cameras are......and the end results will be that all Mamiya prices go up.... ;D be well.....have fun Bob

Lovely shot Ron. Film. wow! Thanks. I was delighted with the images I get with this Mamiya 35-S. Says a lot for the lens quality...and I have started carrying this camera around with me! I also just realized I never answered Bob's (vintageslrs) question on the board (although I may have answered him in a private message), regarding the lens focal length. It's a non-interchangeable 4.8 cm Mamiya-Sekor T f/2.8. The T is red on the lens ring...something I just noticed...and am not sure what it signifies...none of my other Mamiya rangefinder lenses have that designation (and I do have a lot of them)!
