Just like to introduce myself as I have only just come across this forum anf after having a look around it , thought I would fit in so I joined, I am not young , being in my 70th year , but have been into cameras and photography a lmg long time, I dont think I am the world's best camera man, in fact I reckon I take the world's worst photos, but hey ho I keep trying. I have a good collection of cameras, Pentax Spotmatics, ME Super, P30T, Richo KR10, Praktica - Several, OM1n, OM10, Minolta AF Dynax7000i, 404i, Kodak Retina lla & llc, Fed 2, Retinette 1b, A load of compact good quality P &Shoot from the major makers oh and a Contax 137 MA, plus a shed full of lenses, different makes and focal lengths, I like Russian Glass and have 3 very good 44Ms , along with several J8s and L39 screw lenses. Nice to meet you all and will spend some time perusing the previous posts, hope to post some pics in the near future.. As the subject line says I am from Merseyside England.

G'day robbiechad,
Welcome to the group, you'll find it a place for collectors. A fine selection of cameras you have there by the looks of it too.
What's in that pint? Old Speckled Hen?
Regards, Chris Sherlock

Hi to you all, from what I can remember Chris that was taken in Oxfordshire and it was the local brewery's best bitter , very nice too, I am very fond of my real ale and are lucky enough to have a Micro Brewery (George Wright) just down the road a piece from us , who makes several very pleasant beers. Hanz my Contax actually has a 1.7 Yahica ML attached, the performance of which over many years persuaded me to sell the 1.7 Planar that came with the Contax for a rather handsome profit. I couldn't really tell them apart. I have had Yashica Cameras for over 30 years and still have a FX D, an MP108 and gifted my FX2 to a student.

mmmmmm.....Spitfire, my local has that sometimes. And we share a taste in cameras, I've got quite a few on your list, and I've just picked up a Yashica FX-D that I need to re cover and do the light seals. Beer and cameras, sounds good to me down here in Shropshire.

A belated welcome to the group Robbie .... Whilst not a beer drinker ( for a long drink I'm partial to cider ), many many years ago while on holiday in Ullapool in Scotland I tried, at the local pub, a guest beer from Orkney called, I think, Dark Isle. It was very nice.
