I've mentioned my penchant for scenics and landscapes, but that isn't exactly all I like to capture. I thought I would post two of my recent favorites...not necessarily for the quality, but for the subject. My granddaughter! I did not record the exposure setting or the film, but I know these were taken with one of my Mamiya NC1000's. Grandpa was telling her "all about leaves" and she was studying them intently. Or maybe she was just bored, wishing Grandpa would do something more fun than talk about leaves and take pictures, like push her on the swing! I did.

Ron,
These are fantastic!!!!! Casual, catch-her-when-you-can unposed shots! And, a such a cute lil' tyke. Grandpa isn't proud is he...!! ;D
Almost forgot...the composition shows experience; I do not consider these snapshots at all...rather informal portraits.

Grandpa is extremely proud! LOL
My granddaughter would easily qualify as one of my favorite subjects. I don't get to see her often enough, since we are in Michigan, and my son lives in Florida.
I like to shoot friends and family in a particular way. I take several snapshot-seeming images when I'm around them...both of them (posing, usually) and things nearby. Then, when they are used to me shooting a lot of pictures, I quietly take some pictures without telling them first. I usually keep talking to them, about anything but the camera in my hand. They know I'm shooting, but they have stopped posing. Of course, most of my family and friends are used to me with a camera in my hands anyway!

These are great, especially the second one. I agree, your granddaughter is a very photogenic young lady.
