Arrived in the post, a Xenar 50mm F2.8 B29 thread, (Paxette), lens, a 1950's all brass (heavy) Schneider-Kreuznach made lens for the Braun Paxette Cameras, it was the better type offered at the time, although even faster were made. Needs an outside clean, very good order internally, I will make a Leica to Paxatte 15.2mm sleeve to test it on Digital, Zorki and Leica. Fortunately the rare fit went against it fetching too much on Ebay, and I got it for £16. Stephen.

Paxette with a better class Germn made lens, the Schneider-Kreuznach 50mm 1:2.8 lens. It is a heavy brass lens, and has a brass finish depth of field scale, which may have been painted black originally, it was never plated. The Xenar is a classic Tessar type lens formula. To use on M4/3 digital, it will need a custom extension tube made, 15.2 mm long, Leica thread each end, as Braun Paxette used a large film to flange size to allow for the leaf shutter. Stephen.

A check through the net shows the depth of field ring , which is in brass finish, should, as I thought, be in black, with white lettering. There is black paint in each etched letter though, with no trace of white paint, and rather than re-paint it, it will be left polished brass finish.
