a couple of the photos that were sitting on my work table. First one was taken a couple of weeks ago on our way home from somewhere. minolta x370 with a 50mm lens. Second one was one of my first attempts at taking a person's photo. Last fall in the White Mountain National forest, my daughter and the dog, konica t3 with a 135mm lense. When I showed this one to Bob for the first time, he went on about depth of field and blurring the background and blah, blah, blah...Almost hated to break it to him that that background was caused by atmospheric conditions, ie we were hiking in a low level cloud, thanks for looking. Sherri,
Nice pics!
I find the first one compelling...the slightly detailed dark shadows of the bottom of the frame, progressing upward to the blue sky and moon, to the bright pink and then to stage of plain pink seemingly going on and on toward space.
It is great that you and Bob can share the fun of photography.

Sherri, I like the picture of your daughter and the dog. She has that look on her face that I've seen from my kids, "c'mon Dad, don't take my picture again" but I did it anyway. The background makes the subject stand out.
