Welcome Bill. Never had a Nikon being a Canon girl but that's a lovely looking camera.

Thanks. Rachael, which Canons do you have? I used to have a chrome AE-1.

Thanks. Rachael, which Canons do you have? I used to have a chrome AE-1. Ah well Bill, I have quite a few Canonet 28 Canon IVSB (Leica copy) Canonflex RP Canon FT Canon FTb Canon FX Canon AE-1 Canon A1 Canon F1N Canon T70 Canon T90 Canon EOS IX7 Canon EOS 3 Canon EOS 50e Canon EOS 300 Canon EOS 300V Canon EOS 5D MK1 I started with a Canon EOS650 then my local dealer showed me a used Canon FTb which just won me over for the FL/FD range so I traded in my autofocus gear for that camera and lenses. In later years I bought some EOS gear again, film EOS's were very cheap once digital became the norm, and finally bought the 5D. The 5D MK2 and MK3 were beyond my pocket but the MK1 does all I need. I also collect Leica old and modern and have some medium format gear, Rollei and Mamiya and other odd cameras that have taken my fancy. Unfortunately I don't use the film cameras much; I must try harder

Another Canonite here but very impressed with two of the three Nikons I've collected.
I have a Nikon F with FTn finder. I've seldom had the opportunity to handle one but find that the F2 corrected all of the F's shortcomings and smoothed the sharp edges. An impressive improvememt on a great camera.

The only Nikon pro bodies I'm interested in are the F2, F3HP, and F4. And maybe the F3AF with it's 2 dedicated AF lenses.

I've always felt the F2 AS is the Gold Standard for Nikon mechanical cameras. My dream is to find one at a yard sale but that ain't likely.

As far as I am concerned, the F2 in any variation is the gold standard for all fully manual cameras. I have never found one with shutter issues. Dave
