They do turn up every so often, it is a standard Agfa rapid cassette system camera, re-arranged in layout, Bencini did something similar I think. Several makers tried unusual layouts of 35m and 127 film after the war. Sub miniatures also tried the layout, using 16mm cassettes vertically. The idea never really caught on, just too different. Durst thought the idea would work with Rapid, as the cassette require no drive mechanism to them, and the camera can be be only just thicker than the cassette.

It has one oddity, it used a curved film plane to suit, I think, a single, or possibly two element, meniscus lens, so image quality is not that great. Stephen
