Hi All! My nephew came over the other day and asked me if I still collected cameras and parts. I said "Sure I do!" He gave me a lens he'd found in an apartment he was cleaning. His boss told him he could keep it as the apt. had been empty for a long time, and he wouldn't know who to send it to anyway. It appears to be a professional grade camcorder lens. It is a Fujinon Gemini / A12X9BERM - 28C, 1:1.7 / 9-108mm lens. It's a massive thing with all kinds of plugs, buttons, switches, etc. I've looked on-line, and they're quite expensive. I could probably list it and make a tidy profit, but I'd rather find out what it is, give it a good cleaning, and see if it could be used on a different camera. I'm funny like that I'll post a couple of photos in the morning if anyone is interested. Doug

It may depend on the original sensor size as to whether the lens will work with 4/3 or Canon etc. It may have a C mount or be dedicated to fit a video body direct. I have a smaller version with C mount that works quite well on the 4/3 Olympus, albeit with slight round vignetting on the widest setting and largest aperture. The lenses are motorised, with small gearhead motors on focus and aperture, some have optional auto exposure, sometimes switchable. Stephen.
