I recently inherited two cameras from my mother. She owned a Hasselblad 1000f. My dad had an Exakta VX 1000. When I was in high school they let me borrow them for a photography class. It was fun, but I couldn't afford to keep at it back then. From what I can tell, the shutters on both cameras have issues. There's no photo shop in my little city and I haven't had a chance to try Portland (OR) yet. I'm hoping I can afford to have at least one of them fixed.

Good luck on the repairs, and welcome to the forum.

Hello, Ted. There are others on here who know far more than I about camera repairs, but it is amazing how many things a few squirts of lighter fuel sorts out. I've had a couple of cameras with shutters that barely moved but now run as smooth as you like after the lighter fuel treatment.
I always liked the Exacta VX1000, and, of course, who didn't want a Hasselblad?
