My first camera was Kodak Brownie 127, (the rounded type) in 1959. Like many of this community I expect, I began collecting cameras that I once owned, or wished to own. My interests are spread widely, though I tend to acquire cameras that I intend to use occasionally rather than shelf-fillers! I currently have a soft spot for Olympus half frame models.

Welcome! I also have a weakness for Olympus half frame models - it has been satisfied with a Pen D3. So far.
Hope you did get a 127 Brownie with rounded ends!

Hi- yes, I've got half a dozen now..... Did you know that it's possible to shoot 35mm film in these, because there's enough room (unlike most 127s) to fit a standard film cassette? You just need to tape over the red window, and work out how many turns to wind on, which obviously changes as the roll gets thicker (I've done this). Result is a frame which includes the sprocket holes, and longer than the usual 35mm frame. Not bad on a sunny day.....

Hmmm. That's an idea.

I have a virtual collection of cameras that I wished I'd owned. The trouble for me is that many were (and are) expensive, like the Leica IIIg, and virtual is cheaper to own.
Anyway, welcome deferlens.

Welcome deferlens.
Thanks for the wise advice - defer buying a lens until you can get better quality.

I own three virtual IIIGs, a virtual Canadian-built Leica M4, a virtual mint Nikon SP and a virtual 1924 Ermanox. I would like to expand my collection but I'm running out of room.

Surely there must be someone in your locality who would be willing to rent you a virtual room at a real reasonable price. Mickey

Mickey: I have also developed a number of virtual friends who laugh at all my jokes and think I am handsome. You'll have to excuse me now as I'm going to barbecue a virtual 30 ounce T-bone steak.

Almost 2 pounds of T-bone could result in a belly ache of virtually immense proportions. Mickey
