Found this Sony Cybershot at a local thrift shop the other day: Like brand new with card, battery, charger, cables, manual, and a nice little LowePro case--all for $5.00 Works too! Up close: Full zoom The lens isn't the best, but with the help of Wilbur, the images are useable, especially for the money! Haven't figured out everything on it yet. The manual is very long. I mean, 200 pages for a point and shoot? Really?

Super value for money - they're worth £50 in pawn shops here in UK. without charger etc. in many cases. Nice one. I like a good long manual and have no problem with that. To me, it shows they care.

Good find, Roy.
Long manuals are good for me too.

Starting to get it figured out. Found the spot meter: Exposure straight off the on board spot meter, bright daylight, program exposure (ISO 100, f7.1, 1/320, no comp) All other settings default. .2% unsharp and cropped in GIMP: I'm pretty happy with my $5 investment! Roy

Something is working well for you. Mickey P.S. As a matter of interest. 20 Years ago would you have seen exposure settings like '7.1, 1/320' ?
