Not sure how old this lens are, 40+ ? It sure is good also compared to current standards. Olympus m43, FD adapter, @f1.8 Hard to get focus right, something got sharp anyway, bokeh quite lovely, also color. The lens The image 100% crop I might have to get some magnifying glass, to get a better view on the small screen..

Canon and Nikon were the top of the tree for 35mm cameras, Their standard 50's should be sharp. I had one of these but sold it on at a good profit. You can have too many good 50's.

I had one on my first good camera, a Canon FTb. Very solid good stuff.

The FTb QL was my first SLR after my Exakta VX IIa. It was to me a revolutionary revelation. The viewing screen was dazzlingly brilliant. I still have that camera with its Canon FD 50mm 1.4 lens. After 10 years of use all are still pristine. I just took it off the shelf. Either it has grown heavier or I have weakened.
It still has a box tab for Kodak Gold 200 12 exposures on its back. I went back to my favourite Fujichrome 100.

My FTb QL is is in use this very moment, fitted with the Canon FD 2/35 'Thorium' lens and loaded with an old roll Kodacolor 400. The 2/35 is a bit yellow (...) but that warms the pictures:-) Hans
