It's a remodeled gun cabinet. If I would get busy and add some shelves it could hold a lot more cameras. On the other hand I should be getting rid of some cameras not creating additional display space.

In the second shot, next to the Leica and the Hit camera, may I ask what camera maker is the larger camera, which appears to have a lot of knobs on it, or is standing in front of another camera, giving a false view?......just curious....Voigtlander?...

belgiumreporter: An impressive collection. How long did it take collecting all those cameras? Hans: I have heard you get more steady shots in the range 1/15-1/2 sek - with some bottles

Stephen Hi Stephen, it's not a voigtlander, it's a French pontiac super lynx I, a real piece of junk wich for some strange reason is fetching high prices at auctions. Admittidly it's rare, but it is so badly designed, for instance you can't open the back without breaking a nail or cutting yourselve, it has a optical viewfinder ( no rangefinder) wich is more like a see trough hole and there's a lot of play when retracting the lens. In the best case you'll love to hate it !

Hans: I have heard you get more steady shots in the range 1/15-1/2 sek - with some bottles I've been collecting for over 40 years, but the largest part of my collection was aquired in the last ten years due to the large amount of cameras hitting the market (bottom priced) after the "digital revolution"

I had wondered if it French, but could not match a model, Pontiac and other cameras of the period were not imported much to the UK, I do collect them a bit, and the best lenses are French! I have a Foca, looking for other 35mm basically. Some like Savoy are very overpriced these days. Stephen

My wife actually likes my showcase. Makes it easier for new acquisitions if they are presentable . . . Shuffle a different model in there every now and then just to change it around.

Thanks truls. Its a hit with visitors who actually take pictures of themselves next to it. The mirror back really messes with them when autoflash is on . . .
