I've never been a big fan of "art" photography, painting should be left to painters an photography should be left to reporting or illustrating actual facts( wich can be artistic in it's own way). still it can be fun walking the arty pad and mess around with your photographs thinking you're an artist. i used to do this with some friends in the analogue era having nice evenings (and nights) in the darkroom making solarisations and coloring prints with ilfords colorvir proces. nowadays things gotten somewhat less hazardous as you don't need dangerous chemicals in photoshop to go as wild as you want. Against my own rule and just for the fun of it i made an impressionist style photograph of my wife entering the garden as i couldn't resist the beautifull light that struck her. My wife's name is Evy and or garden is our little Paradise so you can make the connection if you want to. technical data Nikon D3 nikkor 35mm aperture 2 shutterspeed uknown ISO200. This photograph isn't photoshopped it was just extremely out of focus. Digital cameras can be fun to experiment and you don't end up with baskets full of half developed (wet)prints and etched hands. PS i hope no one's offended by some nudity, if so let me know and i will remove this post.

A nice photo indeed. Different bokehs will have different effects it's worth experimenting along these lines.

So that is what I am missing by trying to stay in focus.
Live and learn.

Is this also called act photography? Interesting photo, kind of like a dreamy effect. Fortunately, in photography, there are no rules, only good images. Thanks for sharing!
