raybar: Thank you. This is a tiny quote from that very, very long Staticmaster bulletin you recommended. "The Staticmaster is not a toy! Staticmaster 1 inch brush with radiation burn to the lid, in Company Seven's collection (98,265 bytes) Do not leave these out for children to play with. Nor should you store a Staticmaster near your skin, such as in your shirt or pants pocket, when you are not using it." Mickey

I'm looking to buy a tripod so I joined here so I can ask for advice. I read this review and it lists out a couple of tripods but I have no idea which one is good to buy. Would anyone be so kind to tell me which one is good and why? Thank you. Review - Tripods

daddycute, This thread is for an alphabetical listing of cameras.
I suggest you go to that horizontal bar at the top of the monitor.
Type in "Camera Tripods". You will find no end of tripods from which to choose.
Your choice will depend on many factors such as : Type of camera, Size, Weight, What kind of photography you will be using your camera for, What features do you want on the tripod, What weight do you want to carry, How frequently will you be using it, Where will you use it, How much are you willing to spend.
You might even find that a monopod (one leg instead of three) will serve you better.
After you have made all these decisions come back here and pose your question. But not this particular thread.
Go to the horizontal bar near the top of the page and select "Help" and/or "Search".
Good luck, Mickey

P for Penti II Some people on G+ showed their Pentis. This triggerd my GAS 8-( Only a few weeks later I found this one on eBay. Got it for the starting bid of 1€ plus 5.6€ shipping Hans, can you tell the year of production from serial number? It has #38820 I like the color of mine. And I'm happy that it came with leather case and is fully working. More images in the Flickr album Hannes

Q for Quantaray 70-300mm Zoom. This is the most used lens for my Pentax K5. From extreme close ups of flowers and insects to reasonably long telephoto pictures of animals and birds. It is my ideal all round lens. It cuts down dramatically on the load that this now arthritic photo nut has to carry. Mickey
