Our eyes are frequently drawn to strong curves or arches. The photo can either be of the arch, for instance, or the arch can introduce a strong element that can change the character of the focus of attention and of the entire photograph. I wanted the arches to change the very essence of what otherwise would have been a shot of two guys in a museum, or a guy with white hair in a restaurant. David

We will be walking around with Tags to recognize one another in the real world, I suppose. I loved that place.

Airports are wonderful, they'll take care of you from check-in to departure, so travelling round the world is no problem. But getting to the airport ...

This is the interior of he oldest Church in Crete in the village of Rotunda in Kolymbari, Chania.( 570AD) It is probably the oldest church with a self supporting domed roof and as you can see all the windows and doorways are arches to give the best support to the domed roof. You have to be Lucky to get inside this church as normally it is closed for the public. I was lucky and happy with this picture as all the pictures you can find from this little church are the ones from the outside.

SidW: I understand. That is the main reason I stay here and my children and grand children come here to visit.
Belgiumreporter: Beautiful image. You are fortunate to get in to see that church.
