Hi. My name is Gord Lucas, but my net name is moltogordo on any forum I belong to. Three big hobbies - photography, hunting, fishing. Been those three all my life. I'm a professional violinist (retired), and currently teach violin and piano, and conduct the Northern Orchestra of British Columbia. My hobbies have given me ample opportunity to take pictures of my interests, so I'm primarily a portrait/landscape photographer. I work in color with digital, but do all my B&W with film, using a different camera every time, it seems! My favorites to work with are my Linhof Kardan 4x5, the Mamiya C330, the Pentax MX and more than anything, my half-frame Pen FTs. Have five of them. I don't scan negatives, I print. I love printing so just about anything I post will be a scanned print or a digital photo if color. My interest in cameras has, of course, led to the disease of collecting! And thus, I've arrived here! See you all around the boards! Gord

Welcome Gordon. You should fit right in here. No to many old school, print-in-the-darkroom people left. I've been tempted when I see some of the "buys" available in equipment. But iit would end up just taking up space. Again. Welcome. W.

Welcome, Gord.
You have found the right place. At The C.C. everything is sacred and nothing is sacred so it is always interesting and lively.

Hello Gord! Welcome to the center of collecting madness. It seems joining this forum has an effect of a slight increase in number of cameras, at least for me. Fun to have another printer "freak" at the forum. I also enjoy the art of printing BW images. They get scanned as well, to get a better overview.
Lately I also discovered the nice Olympus PEN half frame cameras, a true beauty and I believe a capable shooter, considering the fine Olympus lenses.

Hello Gord! "Welcome to the center of collecting madness. It seems joining this forum has an effect of a slight increase in number of cameras . . ." Ouch! Probably "exaktly" what a don't need !! Here's about half my collection. Everything on the rack is a user. I have boxes of "parts" cameras for all of them, and I do have every model of Exa made, and also about half of the Exaktas. Let's hope the forum doesn't break me. I have, however, limited my collection to manual SLRs and TLRs made between 1951 (when I was born) to 1983 (when electronic shutters became de rigeur), and also only Japanese and East German cameras. If you don't put a limit on it, the disease will be terminal, I understand! I have about 20 other "users" that don't fit on the rack - they're in a closet in close proximity and get switched to the display on a rotational basis. Oh yeah . . . lenses, too. Got buckets and buckets of them! Guess I'll have to get another rack! Thanks for the replies, guys!!!

Welcome, I see you've been looking through some of the old posts too, I'm about to read what you say. Its interesting reading the old posts again. Replies to them can re-open the conversation again with new ideas and a more recent historical viewpoint.
Keep with us, you sound like an interesting character, and we have a fair share of them on this forum. Display some of your collection in 'our cameras' in the competitions section. We do it alphabetically but if there's a few days wityh no replies its ok to skip to the next one. Phil
