Vintage is a good word. So many people use it in the descriptions that not using it in a search produces few results. The one that annoys me is: L@@k!

If I can stall the inevitable I might even become an antique. Are antique old geezers worth anything on eBay? Mickey (and Rachel), I dare say we all have some rust on us. And if an Ebay seller thought he'd get a quick penny out of it, I'm sure he'd do it, oil or no oil. As is, of course, and no returns.

I see a Ducati, a Henso, and a Rectaflex, have appeared on Ebay, along with the same seller having a "rare" Leica copy, a Fed Zarya, with Leica engraving, about which he is totally honest, but wants £120 for it!......

On ebay......a succinct description......" USED, but mostly works"....reminds me of the late Douglas Adams description of Earth in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"........... "Mostly Harmless", Stephen I actually tend to collect outrageous and stupid EBay descriptions. I just love the “It worked when it was put away 30 years ago”. Another is “No method” of testing the meter –when it’s a hand held selenium job. Current favorite is “An extremely rare black model Konica TC”. Of course “Working Condition” means its beat up like a Utility vehicle – probably works but is full of dents and rust.

There is a Voigtlander folder on ebay at the moment. Several pictures from different angles of the outside and case. Not one picture of it open. I wonder why. The description is, 'as title with case'. Would you buy it?

But often the leather is so dry that it brakes after short time. Had this on the Foca and on the strap of the Seagull 203

There is a Voigtlander VSL 3E SLR on ebay at the moment. It has a Planar lens. It is described as having an Ultron f1.4 lens. I sent a polite email to the seller pointing this out because I was thinking of bidding on it. This is the reply that I received.
'Whatever lens is on the camera is the lens that it has in the case and that is how it is being sold. All the other lenses I have listed are separate items and I dont have anything that says Ultron on it.'
I won't buy anything that is on sale there! I must say that I did get a later polite reply from the seller thanking me for pointing it out. I have had another email from the seller. It seems that she genuinely does not know that the lens is removable............. Just had another look out of interest. She hasn't changed anything.
Despite the lack of info on her listings I did take a chance and put a bid in on her Voigtlander QBM fit 28mm f 2.8 Color-Skoparex and won it. I have ordered an adaptor for it to fit a Canon EOS body, strange combination, but I look forward to trying it out.

Even ignoring the image of a camera being evacuated from a collector, I have difficulty understanding quite what the seller is trying to say
