Went to my local car boot sale again today. Found a slightly sad looking Minolta XG-1 with an F2 Minolta MD lens. Everything seemed to work so I paid £9 for it. Got it home and spent ten minutes cleaning the exterior. The lens is very clean and all the speeds seem accurate - clean inside and it now looks 95% good. Just needs new light seals. On another stand was a Tamron 03A Adaptall 2 with Pentax K bayonet, just wanted it for the Adaptall. On examination everything is ok except for some slight discolouration inside the front element, just a mm. or so, not fungus. So will keep hold of it for £5 a bargain.

What a coincidence, here's the latest addition to the minolta part of my collection. It's a 1982 XG1(n) in pristine condition, it came with the rokkor 35-70 3.5 macro zoom. It's a very basic camera, but the accumat focussing screen makes it easy to focus even with the 3.5 max aperture lens. I've had a lot of these XG series cameras, had a lot of trouble with them but this one seems to be working fine. Anyway it only took a 2€ coin to get it into my possesion ;-) so no complaints on this one.Don't think i'll keep it though...
