With this S1 The S/H part of my Pentax collection is now complete, still need 2 types of spotmatic and a K1000 to get everything complete. This poses kind of a luxury problem as there is very little i still need, the hunt is over, so what next? I could go for those very rare ones, but at prices that would allow me to travel to any place in Europe for over a week i very much doubt i'll be spending money on any more camera's my health isn't inproving and i feel i will have to do my traveling now i'm still able. ( got a serious warning from my doctor will know more in Januari) The S1 came with the proper period 55mm 2.2 lens and the early type clip on meter

I find myself with the same dilemma.
I recently found a black S3 which nearly completes my black pre-electronic collection (restrained by lack of space).
The black S that I bid on in the fall went for the price of my pick-up!
I shan't give up but concentrate on upgrading some of my more ugly place holders.

Pleasant memories of Asahi. My first reflex was a Pentax. Cannot recall which number or whether it had the 2.2 or a faster normal. Good spread from white to black with Ilford negatives. The spring loaded stop-down 135 was bought.
Probably because it was pocketable, a leica with the collapsible Summicron followed.
