Hi all, The Fujica Compact 35 I bought last week arrived on my doorstep this morning - With a new roll of film pre-loaded inside (I'd assume its expired but still a fun test roll to shoot) I pretty sure the Selenium light meter is cactus as the gauges in the view finder aren't moving with varied light. The camera or lens doesnt have a shutter speed selection available. Just Focus distance and aperture. The gauge in the view finder will adjust the shutter speed with the different aperture automatically (If the light meter is working) The first release of the Compact 35 had a manual setting for the shutter on the base of the lens but my model looks like a different version and possibly older and unfortunately the lens assembly is different. There was a couple of versions of this camera and I think this may have been the "light" or the "new" version. This version SHOULD change the shutter speed automatically to match the aperture. My question is - will it still change the shutter speed to match the aperture even if I'm manaully selecting the aperture and focus range? Anyone on here have one of these great little cameras that might have some advice? I cant find a manual for this camera anywhere on line.
