The Konica C35 AF was introduced in 1977 and was the first mass produced AF camera (1million sold). Collector wise this is a very important camera, still it can be found for little money at thrift stores and garage sales as most people don't know what it is and just look at it as some old point and shoot. Interesting also it is a cross over between old and new technology. Just about any AF wich came after it has motor film wind (and rewind) not so with the C35AF wich still has manual film transport (and cranck rewind) wich isn't a bad thing in my opinion. A lot of AF point and shoots followed, but it took another 8 years before the first AF slr was introduced the 1985 Minolta 7000!
