Couldn't resist this one at 3€ in the thrift store. This 1937 ikonta with the tessar 7,5cm 1:3.5 seems like it is ready to go, all speeds work, diafragm is clean and working, lenses are clean and bellows are light tight (don't know about the back though) it came with the everready case and a fitting sunshade. While being medium format (6x6) it's a very small package to walk around with .Camera's in such good condition as this one are tempting to run a film through, but i've got so many it's unlikely this one will ever be used.

That is a good find, and a real classic. Are there filters in the leather cylinder?
A similar one was offered locally for about 50 euro, I let it pass.
A nice travel camera if you are in the mood; wonder how good the uncoated Tessar might be. I was disappointed by the one in my Super-Ikonta.

Yes there's a yellow filter and a sunhade in the leather cylinder, most likely items used to enhance contrast of the uncoated tessar. I've heard the Novar 3.5 and 4.5 also used to on the 520/16 aren't anything special and only start to perform from 5.6 onwards. The going rate for these is mostly in the 40 to 50€ range even though they are rated a lot higher at collectiblend though clearly this isn't a reference anymore.

FWIW I have a Nettar with coated Novar 3.5 that performs nicely below f/5.6, same as you heard.
