From very early on when i started collecting canon SLR's i've had an EF wich was missing one of its battery covers, as they are next to impossible to find i never got to know if the EF worked or not.
Some time ago i was able to buy a complete working EF and "borrowed" the battery cover to test the "old" EF and it to worked. Now last week i was able to buy a "parts" EF for very little money. I thought i could use the battery covers and trow the rest of the camera in the parts bin. When it arrived the only thing wrong with it is the off/on switch wich won't stay in the ON position everything else is OK, wich makes me a bit reluctant to scavenge the battery covers and throw the rest away.
