Bought this like new Fuji Fujinon Macro 1:3.5 55mm with the 1:1 extension ring in M42 mount together with some other stuff at an estate clearance sale.
Not much is to be found on this but in the few articles i've found people tend to be enthousiastic about its performance and the "special" EBC coating. Prices on Ebay vary between 80 to 190 €.
Because it is so much a like the "old" Micro nikkor 55mm 1:3.5 i did a simple test to compare them. In my comparison the Fuji is no match for the Nikkor, the Nikkor has more defined colours and is a bit sharper than the Fuji.
Now because there are enough Nikkors around i guess this might explain why they can be found for as low as 35€ on Ebay so it's a bit beyond me why anyone would want to pay that much for the Fuji, unless maybe out of collector perspective or if they should really want a M42 mount macro lens and you don't want a Takumar.
Anyway, i won't be keeping the Fuji and might give a closer look at the Canon and Takumar macro lenses still in the drawer.
