In June of this year i purchased a Nikon D5000, and i have to say i love it! I was using a Canon power shot a560 before and getting my Nikon was a huge step up. I got it as a kit with the 18-55mm lens, and since my mom worked for Target i got a pretty good discount!
Here is my favorite pic so far,
And there are lots more pics at my website, Andysphotos.zenfolio.com, c&c welcome
Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy! That's a very nice photo, and very sharp, even the little bee! We have a lot of primroses in our garden, they're very photogenic. Welcome to the group, keep those photos coming !!

I think this was taken the same day as the pic above.

I call it "Frog on a Ford Taurus," lol
Is it me or is it a tad fuzzy?

Andy, was that hand held? According to the EXIF it was taken at ISO 1000, f5.6 0.62 second at 20:45 If it was hand held I'm not surprised if there is a little hint of fuzziness.
I like it. "Frog fords river" perhaps, as the title.

Yes it was hand held. I sharpened it, and i think i bumped up the contrast too in View NX, it helped a little. But its still a little fuzzy.

Andy, next time put the camera on a tripod and superglue the frog to the car. That way the result will be pin sharp, with no camera shake. (Only joking! That said, some photographers would put the frog in fridge for an hour or so to slow it down and so make photographing it easier.)

Congratulations to Ford.
At last a hood ornament that wont impale pedestrians and cause them to croak.
