With normal photography the film plane flat and perpendicular to the optical axis. The anamorphic pinhole camera the film in a cylinder parallel to the optical axis. This creates a very odd distorted field of view.

Been a boring day... the 720nm filter that I order over 3 weeks ago still hasn't arrived..so my IR project is on hold..so I thought why not try and make a miniature anamorphic pinhole camera . Start by cutting the wrap around film holder.

Hello Bob.My first SLR was the Pentax S1A in the black livery alas it stopped working many years ago. So I was wondering do have this model on your 'For Sale' list? Colin

Work in Progress This is the plan.. make three of four lens less cameras. Take a bundle of pictures..and if all goes well. Use many of the the images in an exhibition, sometime late next year. The provisional title ... 'Lensless-in-Albany' The first camera will be a large format pinhole made from timber. But will start by testing using one of my foam board cameras And the first series will have the theme ' Woodlands' so I have purchased a box of Efke IR film and run the first test (without filter) so I can work out the base exposure. Image 001 my back garden (test only) f217 6 seconds. Did have one slight problem flapping light seal, caused a shadow on the right hand side.

A question for anyone that uses bifocal glasses . Do you have any problems view your computer screen I have Just picked up my new glasses. I must admit not totally happy .. I paid extra for tinting and wide field of view..And as for the seamless bifocal lenses.. Now that's a total waste of time. looking at the computer screen over 3/4 would be out or focus..and as for reading any text all that is in focus is just a couple of words it's just like reading a teletext machine a bit like looking down a tunnel with a field of view was just a couple of degrees .. Oh well that what's pissing me off at the moment..The good news is the optician is very understanding and has told me the lenes can be changed. But I'm not sure for what would be best in my situation .
