What a splendid easy to get into bag. I do like that full, wide opening.
I have a Lowepro bag that I purchased years ago and customized myself with foam from a 1/4 inch thick closed cell flexible foam camping mattress. It's compartments are easily adjustable as my needs and equipment change. I glued all the sectioning pieces together with ordinary rubber cement which can easily be separated and joined in different positions and yet it holds securely. It does not crumble, acts as a shock absorber and does not produce dust or lint. That mattress' sides are slippery and repel all dirt and soil and wear. It has been used for a number of photographic instruments and other things for about 25 years and most of it still remains and waits to be part of an interesting something or other. I have used it to make a number of necessary, useful items that do not require much skill or many tools to make. They all work and last without demanding any maintenance.

chilla,
If the vendor is uncooperative a threat of branding him/her with negative feedback sometimes works. You should send an example to the vendor along with your threat.
Next time ask vendor for better pictures AND verbal description. Make it nasty.

Hi, People.
Did you know that photography is all about pictures?
How about showing us some of your recent acquisitions or even your older stuff so we can drool over them.
Or anything at all to which you take a fancy.
Come on. Warm up your trigger finger and take some shots. Please!

Dee,
If it feels good, does what it is supposed to and gives the desired results, it is right without question.
This from an 85 year old. Mickey

I got myself a 'new' Kodak instant camera today. It's a Trimprint 940, but not a regular one. This one is made of clear plastic so you can see the inner workings. I previously had a Pentax auto 110 slr in clear. I was wondering how many models of cameras were made like this and how rare they are. Also what are they called. I searched Google for clear cameras and demonstrators and got only one hit, a couple of Kodak instants were auctioned off in 2010 for over $1500.11 Yashica Autofocus Motor. Because it is transparent it can not take a picture but it is interesting to watch the mechanism in operation. Mickey

Life has got in the way over the last two years since I last posted here so I thought I would re-introduce myself. Now retired, I live in Lincoln and I have been collecting cameras for around ten years or so. I concentrate on interesting cameras rather than any marque or type. Welcome back, Peltigera, from another old guy who has slacked off and is learning those undesirable life secrets. What a rip off ! Golden age ? Hah ! Iron pyrites (Fools Gold). But don't surrender. Don't worry Mickey, they'll already have mistaken the camera for an anti-tank missile SidW, Thank you for the reassurance. I feel much better already knowing what to expect.

G for Gunstock Gunstock mount for 35 mm cameras. Hand made with a manual coping saw and files before I could afford a power saw. By swivelling the mounting bar, the camera may be moved forward or back and left or right. I made the height to suit me. There are also 3 holes on the bar for further sideways adjustments. The mounting bar is "L" shaped and can be moved up or down. I used it for a number of years until a policeman advised me that it was no longer advisable to carry anything that resembled a weapon. The camera is a Canon FTb QL. My first bright SLR after using an Exacta VX IIa for 20 years.

What a terrible affliction. My deepest sympathy.
But it is comforting for me to know I am not alone.

I have a couple of Brownies, an XA2, a Rex 6x9 with an f/7.7 lens, and an Ilford Sportsman. I have plans to adapt the Brownies for modern film speeds, but I've used the Rex and the XA2.
I have a few questions to ask you folks, so here I am.
Welcome to The Camera Collector, Roger.
Why not adapt the film to the Brownies? Appropriate Neutral Density filters over the camera lens should do that quickly and easiy and you wont have to lift a screwdriver.

More details please. The snaps one uploads directly here without reliquishing any rights? Or those presumably safeguarded at the Photobucket cloud site by some sneaky user agreement which very few read? p. Paul, I do not recall any "cloud site" when I joined The Camera Collerctor.

I do know that when I joined Photobucket 10 or 12 years ago I do not recall much except that they would be the guardians of our pictures and they would be safe from others using them without our personal permission or from being lost. There was never any mention then of "third parties".

PHOTOBUCKET, THE TRUSTED GUARDIAN OF OUR PICTURES, IS EITHER STEALING OR DESTROYING THEM. COME ON FELLOW TCC'S. DON'T JUST SIT THERE SILENTLY LIKE A WRAPPED MUMMY. DO SOMETHING. REVOLT ! THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DESTROYING THE CAMERA COLLECTOR !
