Sorry argoflex, i cant remember what your normal name is, you got a great deal there, if only we could of purchased SLR's for $20 all those years back! ahh but the receipt only say about $17.96, i wonder if that can be for the camera! probably just an accessory? what country is the reciept from ? as you may already know Hanimex began with Jack Hannes importing cameras into Australia and was a distributer for some big brand cameras such as hasselblad. his name was used as part of the Hanimex brand, something like HANnes IMport EXport, looks about right. he imported from many different sources, that were rebadged as Hanimex and eventually influenced some camera designs as well... yours certainly appears to be a Cosina CT-1 or a CT-1a, the differance you should be able see by looking through the finder, the later has LED's the former has match needles not much info around that i have ever found on the Hanimex SLR's, my old Yorkshire friend, Uncle Jim, used to go back to the UK every 2 years for holidays when i was a kid and he really liked the pictures i made with my first SLR a Ricoh KR5, it inspired him to buy duty free a SLR on one of his trips, so he purchased a Hanimex (forget the model off the top of my head) that had Auto mode and 1/4000, a very capable camera, not a sleek as my Ricoh haha, i might add, but as a young teenager i was envious of a top speed of 1/4000...it fell to me to teach him how to use it but he never did get the hang of it, point and shoot on auto was the best he could do, and he soon went back to a more basic camera,,, i always objected to him using it on auto lol thank you for the info Andrew, i dont know where the recipt is from but i think you're right about it just being for and accessory probably for the groovy strap! lol
