Taken X (that's the Roman numeral for 10, by the way) years ago, a still photo at 1.2mp taken on a Panasonic NV-GX7 with the built in flash.

Y for Young me, 17 years old in 1974. Taken with a Polaroid 103. The prints had a little wiper that you had to wipe over the prints to fix them properly. I think I skimped on that part. This is a 'selfie' by the way.

B is for balance. On the streets of New York was shot by my wife, Elisabetta, but I could have sworn I did. David

I had not noticed. Like rabbits they have a habit of multiplying. I think it is the pure Toronto air. Mickey

Yes, the memories of Pure Toronto air: I grew up in Buffalo down wind from the Lackawanna steel plants.

Toronto, this past summer, there were no heat alerts or smog alerts. None. Our rivers, the Credit, Humber, Don and Rouge are now, after over 100 years, seeing spawning runs of salmon again. Something to behold. The city has 7 million trees and many miles of wilderness or near wilderness ravine parkland with miles of walking, skating and bicycle trails.
We are lucky and we know it. And, incidentally, occasionally boast a little.
Mickey
Update 4/10/14. 10 million trees.

F is for Fire. I watched the Vigili del Fuoco from a high cliff where I had been walking around ancient Roman ruins. I shot these at 1/8000 sec which stops the rotor blades, unfortunately. I prefer blurred spinning blades. David

G for Gronk, a piece of ceramic sculpture I made at school in 1971. Gronk has five eyes, five noses and five mouths and is a combination of pottery skills, slab pot, thumb pot and coil pot. He, and a note book, are the only things I have from my childhood. This photo was taken at evening class in 1975 and I still have the original Polaroid 105 negative.
