I think you are awesome photographers! It is not easy pointing the camera at another human being. But what says the law about street photography? In my country you have to ask the subject before taking a picture, it is also illegal to publish images of others. That's our law.

Why do Davids and belgiumreporters pictures speak to me with masculine voices? Mickey I met her in a club down in old Soho Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola She walked up to me and she asked me to dance I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola A gift from some Damn Yankees. (OKAY - A Canuck) Mickey

Considering the horrors that are being perpetrated on the internet by displaying personal photos I think it is an excellent and most timely law. I wish it were universal. Mickey P.S. I have posted a lot of pictures in CC but very few of people - strangers that are recognizable. I just can't do it. I feel as if I am stealing something. Chicken Little.

Things aren't very different qualitatively. Just quantitatively. I recall carrying a pile of model releases in my bag along with the Bolex while shooting my student film. Today, people pour out their most intimate feelings and images onto the social networks. I do not shoot in areas where there may be a reasonable expectation of privacy. Anyway, I have only taken 5 or 6 photos, so I can hardly be considered a serious street photographer.

Here in Belgium the rule is that you may photograph people (wich is allmost unavoidable if you photograph on the streets or reporting events), but you're not allowed to publish the pictures without permission. However there's a lot of exeptions to that rule, but it would take me to far to go in to that.
