Did some re-skinning/styling on a few camera's during the dull moments of 2023. If i can find the right leathers i'll continue to do so in 2024 still have a few bodies wich could use some new cosmetics.

I've bought this leica visoflex with 200mm elmar f4 set up mainly for display with the leica's on the shelves. Out of curiousity I tried it out on the Z6 to my amazement it gave wonderfull results. The set however, isn't something "elegant' to walk around with, has a rather steampunk vibe to it . Here's two shots made in a hurry:

I don't know if nikon's Z system is making people getting rid of their old nikkor stuff but i've been recently able to buy some great nikkors at dumping prices. How's about this AI 50 f1.4 for 25€ and the 105 f4 micro nikkor for 85€ (both in great condition) I don't think these great lenses will get any cheaper than this!

Within a couple of days i found a canon booster T finder for the F1 and a pentax waist level magni-finder FE-1. The booster T finder is the final piece in my canon F1 collection, the pentax magni-finder is another piece in the LX collection, though this section is far from complete (and probably never will be).

I've mounted the rodenstock rodagon enlarger lens on the nikon PB-4 tilt shift bellows, to see how far it would get me in attaining sharpness across the image. Since the rodagon is an enlarger lens for medium format there's no problem with vignetting as the image circle more than covers the sensor size even at maximum tilt. Still it seems like I've bitten off more than i can chew with this set up as there are (optical) limits to what can be obtained. In the following shots I've had this N scale train as a subject, it's about 10cm long and even with maximum tilt and f16 this wasn't enoug to get everything in the plain of focus. I should have done some focus peaking to get the focus on the front but I didn't want to spend to much time at this experiment and saw it more as a proof of concept. The first shot maximum tilt to the left, second maximum tilt to the right (here the "bokeh" gets really weird).Maybe I should try a shorter focal lenght and see what happens...

The nikon Z system is bliss for adapting all kinds of lenses to it. Depending on the adapter and the type of lens things work partially or flawless. Now in trying to adapt my canon EF type lenses i had some trouble, mainly with the 17 and 24 TS lenses as they haven't got manual diafragm rings/control.To overcome this problem i've bought the tech art EF to Z smart adapter wich cost me (when it was first introduced) 300€+ turned out it didn't work for any of its claimed functions and i had to return it. Now after some time has passed some other makers offer "smart" EF to Z adapters and since i am keen on using the canon TS lenses i thought let's try it again. This time i made an appointment at my local Kamera express shop where i asked if i could try the Meike adapter before i would buy it, wich they said wouldn't be any problem. So i tried it, it worked and i've bought it. The diafragm control wheel on the adapter doesn't work, but that's no problem as diafragm is set on the camera wich works perfect. The TS lenses are manual so i haven't tried AF with the adapter, only very briefly with a 50mm AF lens wich went a little unsure, but that can be asigned to the Z not properly tuned, have to look further in to that, but in the end it is not inportant to me as i'll be only using these manual EF lenses. Here's the Z with the Meike adapter and the Canon EF TS 17mm mounted.

Bicycling in the new neighbourhoods at the outskirts of the city. Pedestrians and cyclist are being well separated from motorised traffic. There's still a long way to go as each year numbers of cyclists who get injured or die in traffic are on the rise.

When all the odds are in favour, it is possible to make great shots with a (digi)compact, as i got lucky with the coolpix AW300 in these shots. Sadly this doesn't happen that much and i had a LOT of frustration trying to get some decent shots with the AW300 in the Thai jungle. Even though it is water proof up to 30 meter, the screen fogged up on some occasions due to temperature changes and extreme high humidity. It did perform well under water (better than me! )
Maybe I should stay on the beach

Google "Elvis Prresley + camera" and click the "images" button to see lots of such pictures. Will do, though I have to admit I'm more in to cameras than into Elvis, so maybe i should google Camera + Elvis?

Elvis sure knew what he wanted camera wise, here he is with (probably just to be sure he would get the shot) a Rolleiflex, and 2 nikon S3 's? photo isn't sharp enough to see exactly wich nikon rangefinders they are.
