Hey folks, I am going to sell a few of my cameras off here, to concentrate on my Nikon stuff and stuff I actually shoot with. I know I don't have a lot of posts, but I am no scammer, just letting a few go is all and I figured you all can have a shot before I deal with FeeBay. All cameras can be shipped within the continental US for $9 each. Or I can ship all 4 together for $18 in a USPS flat rate box. 1) Argus 35mm "brick", I think it is a C3? Nice condition, with case. Case stitching is apart at the top. Shutter works, but I have never shot film through it. $20 OBO. 2) Yashica J 35mm camera. Nice condition, f4.5 lens, shutter works fine, comes with case as pictured. Never shot film through it. $15 OBO 3) Petri FT 35mm. Nice condition, f55mm lens, shutter works fine, comes with case as pictured. Never shot film through it. $15 OBO 4) Nice complete Russian Chaika 3 half frame 35mm. I kinda don't want to sell this one, but I will likely never use it. A very nice camera for a collection. Shutter works and comes with box, manual, lens cap, strap and case. $55 OBO First come, first served. Paypal or USPS money orders only please. Email or PM me. Email is info at isuzugeek dot org. Thanks- Bart

I'm in total agreement here. I moved from Chicago to Reno, Nevada 5 years ago, one of the most desolate states in the lower 48. What you are talking about is EXACTLY why I love it here. And you are right, I post photos on some blogs and journals on the net and people from Europe are always fascinated by the large sweeping landscapes.
And you are also right about those poor Americans who have never been west of the Mississippi. I have had people from our Chicago office call me and ask if I could take a ride over to the Vegas office to fix something. They are shocked when I remind them that Reno is at least a 7 hour drive from Vegas. LOL.

What's the story with the Nikkormats? Anything special about them?
Thanks - Bart

Hey folks, just joined. I've been a hobbyist photographer for most of my life. My first camera was a Polaroid that my parents bought for me when I was a kid growing up in the 1980s. I took lots of photos with it as a boy. I took photography classes throughout high school and college, before the days of digital, primarily using a Canon T-80 SLR. Around the turn of the century, I bought my first digital camera, a 2.1 Mega pixel Sony Cybershot. A few years later, I decided to give Nikon a try, and over the years I put together a pretty nice bag of digital gear. Digital photography is an amazing thing, and I never thought I would look back. Until now. For some reason, I decided I needed to purchase an old fashioned Nikon body that I can use with some of my newer Nikkor lenses. So I got on eBay with hopes to find something to fill that void, so I can shoot some nice black & white film again. I still think there is no replacement for the real thing, especially with black & white. And despite the convenience and enjoyment I get from digital, I do realize how it has cheapened the overall experience of taking pictures. Anyway, boredom got ahold of me and I started browsing through pages and pages of vintage cameras. And I bought a few. One of my New Years resolutions is to be more creative. Meaning, I need to do what ever it takes to exercise my creative side. My stressful job most of the time saps me of inspiration, so I decided I need to force creativity any way I can. That's when I got the idea to start shooting film again, with vintage cameras I find online. I am going to try to stick to 35mm and Polaroid, and I am going to attempt to stick to cameras that cost under $30, and that are in working order. I also want to buy only one a month. I tend to get carried away with my hobbies and I don't want that to happen. Naturally, a forum related to the subject of interest was in order. So here I am. ~Bart PS - Does this forum have a section for posting photos taken with vintage cameras? Does this forum have a Polaroid section?
