The Minolta came. Still on the first roll, but I like it very much. Light weight, bright viewfinder, aperture priority auto-exposure, good grip.

Great series, Dave. Big zoom lens? The close-ups are striking.

Great panoramic view, "barbarian"! When I went to a convention last year, taking pictures of the elaborate meeting halls was definitely one of the highlights for me. PeterW, my daughter is a college student and they recently watched The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari in a European culture class...

Good point! I am thinking it's time for a CLA anyway. Guess my Scottish ancestry got the best of me

Hello,
My Yashicamat 124-G just developed a stuck shutter. Otherwise it's fine! I was wondering if you know of any alternatives to the recognized expert Mark Hama, for repairs? He has done a fine job for me in the past, just trying to shop around a little for price.

Never having had the pleasure of being in North Wales, you had me going for a moment! I thought maybe the local fauna tended to giant predators... Here we have cougars (mountain lions) very near San Francisco. In fact I've stopped hiking alone on the more remote ridges since I was advised to always carry mace and be prepared to shoot over my shoulder, as they sneak up behind you

I've enjoyed using my Minolta SRT-201 so much lately, that I bid and won another more recent (for me) model -- the X-700. Along with a zoom lens. This should be nice! It has aperture priority exposure which I find a real time-saver. And I have several primes but no zoom for this mount. Both items are from John Titterington, whom I can't say enough good things about. Any thoughts I had about shooting more digital, less film, will have to be put on hold!

Nice Konica! I have two of them, they have a really nice heft to them! And a fast sharp lens I think. I had mine serviced, they have not been without their troubles, but working now..

These two are from my Zorki 4. I used the Industar-61 lens which is 52mm/f2.8. It's Kodak Gold 200 film. I tend to be pleasantly surprised with Kodak Gold 200.

Well I'm glad the second one worked out for you! I've been looking at these a lot lately. Do you know about www.fedka.com ? They've done repair work for me and they are relatively fast and reliable. Enjoy your Kiev!
