I think that aging that sometimes occurs with black enamel (the loss of both sheen and slight browning) would still look pretty fabulous, just show that the camera has had a life and not just been held on display somewhere.. that is a remarkable finish for a camera, really looks spectacular I think.. nice one Stephen

Thats the problem with having the collection bug.. I've always enjoyed photography since I was a little boy but have never been what you could consider great at it with me its more of a collection (hoarding) thing.. the closer I get to the end of life the more I miss the past and think maybe I try to re-live it through the myriad of things I collect... my age and physical problems stop me from using my cameras so much anymore but I still get enjoyment from being able to see something that my father would have perhaps held and marvelled at in his day... though that doesnt explain things like my model rail/ pipes and ash trays/ swords/ lawn mowers etc. etc. Guess I just caught a bit of the crazies somewhere along the way

Hi Hannes I know what you mean, the larger part of my collection started from that one item that didnt really fit and I had to buy partners to go with it (trying to make sense of it) Theres now a couple of hundred of these auto & focus free cameras in my collection along with twin lens and SLRs etc. My collection started many years ago as a box and folding Kodak collection totally changed over the years to an "anything that clicks" collection Biggest problem now is I'm trying to sell up and move and I am dreading the thought of packing all these collections I have (and where to house them when I move)
