Live view is essential when you have an older back (mine, not the camera's) and want to photograph near ground level. It also allows me to control my DSLR through my tablet which is easier than using the camera's own controls.

I like rangefinders and I keep buying Yashica rangefinders. So far, they have all had faults - mostly with the shutter. The Lynx 500 I bought someone had clearly tried to take apart and the Minister III only fired sporadically. This one seems, so far, to be working perfectly - apart from the light meter which needs a battery I cannot source yet. I am going to have to replace the light seals - a given on a Japanese camera of this age. Hopefully, next week I shall be able to run a test film through it.

My 'go to' is Snappy Snaps but you need to be in the UK to use them.

Question answered! It is the lens hood which I have only recently bought.

I have a Pentax ME Super which works well with my Sirius 28 mm lens. However, when I fit that lens to my Pentax MX, I get very definite vignetting. Why with one camera and not the other? Photo attached.

My newest purchase - the export version of the Contax F. Test film is loaded but is having to wait until tomorrow. All works well with no film so I have high hopes. Shall be using it with my Super-Takumar 55 mm lens which I already know to be good.

I like my Exakta and Exa cameras. I rather like the left hand shutter release - it takes me a frame or two to get my fingers trained if I haven't used them for a while. I also like the waist level finders.

I have been using my 'new' Pentax SV this week and it is a delight. I mentioned my Pentax SV earlier in this thread and I have to say that the Pentaxes are finally living up to my adolescent dreams of 40-something years ago.

I couldn't find Rerapan on the Massive Development Chart although it is definitely there now.
Edit: Rerapan is on the web version of the MassiveDev Chart that Phil linked to but it is not on the Android app (which is very useful as a timer and we'll worth having).

Tried this in my 'new' Balda Baldi last month. Was fine; developed in ID11, pretending it was Fomapan as I had no development info available.

I have now bought a new one of these - a slightly later version. This one has an accessory shoe and an updated Prontor S shutter (synchs for X, M and F), otherwise the same. The tripod boss is still on the top plate. There is a small plaque on the back that says 'Photo Prien Kiel) which seems to be a photographic studio that is still in business. Downside is that someone has attempted a repair and has damaged the thread the film advance knob fits on, which is currently detached.
Nice feature is the every ready case which has a film advance knob on the underside that meshes with the one on the camera and also there is a tripod boss on the underside of the case so you do not have to use the one on the top of the camera.
For Hans: Body number is N56063 Lens is a Novar - 45 mm rather than 4.5 cm and no serial number.
Inside the camera by the door catch is a further number : E108 (my first Ikonta 35 had E69 in the same place). What is the significance of this number?

I have always preferred cameras with the 'patina' of use. Very few of my collection are in showroom condition - those are mostly newer Zeiss Ikon cameras - so long as they actually work, 'much loved' = still loved.
