Quite a nice varied collection, a lot like my collection. Also a nice section of information. Thanks for sharing.

I did find an AC adapter to try out the camera and the digital part works fine. It had a mostly used pack of Polaroid 500 in it and when prompted to do so, it ejected a print through the rollers like it should, but of course the picture was blank since the film was so old. All in all I am happy with it for display. It had a memory card in it too with 5 pictures of somebody's furniture.

I came across a different digital camera today, I had heard of it but this was the first time I have seen one in the flesh. It's the Olympus Camedia C-211 Zoom, an Olympus digital camera that also can make a Polaroid print. A big camera for a 2 Megapixel model. This one is in very nice shape, probably hadn't been used much. Of course the Polaroid 500 film is no longer available, but the digital part will probably still work. It is missing the battery carrier that takes 4 AAA batteries, but can be used with an AC adapter. I am out of town for Christmas now, but when I get back home, I am sure I will be able to come up with a usable AC adapter to try it out. Anyway it will look neat in my digital collection.

My bad, the Sony was in 1997. Sometimes I can't read my own writing.

My first digital was in 1995. It was the Sony that used a 3 1/4 floppy disk and had a 1/3 megapixel sensor and the pictures were 640x480. Next in 1998 was a Fuji that was 1.3 megapixels and made a 1280x1024 picture. My real interest in digital though came in 2000 when I bought the Nikon 990. Wow, 3 megapixels and pictures of 2048x1536. I still have a bunch of 11x14 pictures framed from the 990 that to me look great, and today it is my favorite one for closeups, even though I have Olympus and Panasonic 4/3 cameras and dedicated closeup lenses.

I saw on Craig's List where someone said they had lots of old cameras that they needed to get rid of, so I figured it was up to me to help him. He had some pictures and I spied a couple that I would love to have. I went to his house today, and sure enough he had lots of old cameras. He said he had acquired them from garage sales, etc. They were mostly 35mm rangefinder and slrs but he had 3 120 film cameras that wanted to go home with me. I think his prices were reasonable but I had only taken enough money for two of them so that was what I brought home. Here are pictures of those. One is a 6x6 Bronica S2 and the other a 6x7 Mamiya RB67 professional. They are both in used but decent shape. The Bronica's shutter is not working every time, the Mamiya seems to be all working fine. They weren't cheap, but I am happy with them. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I did a bunch of weddings with my XE-7 and my XD-11 back in the days.

Although I already have 3 Speed, 1 each size, and 1 Crown Graphic, I couldn't turn down the offer today of another 4x5 Speed Graphic for $15. It's in not perfect but usable condition, seems all speeds work and bellows is in great shape. I also got another Kodak Reflex, a much later one than the one I already had. Seems I got for months with no acquisitions and then all of a sudden...

I also have the XE-7, a very nice camera. It was made jointly with Leica who had a model similar to it. I suspect the innards were designed by Leica since it is so quiet. It gives one a feeling of quality workmanship.

I also have the LX7 and really like it. The ability to use it completely manual and the 1.4 lens were the selling points that caused me to buy it. I do have the optional optical viewfinder and it's expensive but worth it. Although I have several other digitals, I use the LX7 probably 90% of the time.

I get away with displaying the flashbulbs because I have been given one of the rooms that was meant to be a bedroom, but is unneeded since there are only two of us. I use it as my 'museum' of photographica.

When I was just a wee little lad Full of health and joy My father homeward came one night And gave to me a toy
A wonder to behold it was With many colors bright And the moment I laid eyes on it It became my heart's delight
It went "Zip" when it moved And "Bop" when it stopped And "Whirrr" when it stood still I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will[/quote]
A neat song by John Denver!
