Looks like quite a project, MajicMan. I've been giving some thought to how to preserve my collection now that I've moved to Florida. Any suggestions?

Should be a px 625. It's a rebadged Canon EX-Auto/EX-EE. The front group of the lens unscrews. IIRC the accesory lenses were 35mm, 95mm and 125mm. A dial under the rewind knob controls the aperture setting in manual mode.

My first 35mm, bought when I was a teenager. I think it's a great camera. I have a damaged FTb that probably uses the same mounting flange. Unfortunately, everything is in storage until I'm in a new home. That will be a few months yet.

Near as I can tell, nothing. It is a Singlex TLS set up to use an accessory lightmeter. The meter couples to the silver pin on front of the shutter dial and is secured with the knurled collar around the shutter release. I'll post a clear photo of mine when I unpack (Don't hold you breath). The early Sears cameras had the name stamped in the body as in the picture. Later Sears cameras had a nameplate glued on. Take a look at e-bay and you'll see what I mean. I did discover one difference. Probably a mid production change. The viewfinder prisms were ground to slightly different shapes. I found this when I tried replacing the de-silvered prism in my SL-11 with one from a TLS donor. Here's a link to a site that shows the Nikkorex F triplets. www.cameraguild.jp/nekosan/singrex.htmBill

Here's a pic of the Ricoh TLS based screw mount Sears SL-11 without its meter. On e-bay now if you're interested. Price a bit high, IMO.

Ron,
The Nikkorex F, Ricoh Singlex, Sears SL-11 trio is one of my favorite subjects and I've not found any definitive information either. My hunch is that Mamiya produced the camera for both Ricoh and Sears. There may have been some continued cooperation between Ricoh and Mamiya. The 55/1.8 screwmount lens is nearly identical from both makers.
The later, screw mount, Ricoh Singlex was available in two varieties from Sears. The TLS with "Through Lens Sensing" and a less expensive SL-11 with an attachable meter. I've never seen a Ricoh version of the screw mount SL-11.

Think the 102 is nice? Check out the XE-7. I looked one over 30 years ago and was very impressed.

Haven't had much luck with the local church run recycle store. I think someone has the staff trained to call when good stuff arrives! The Goodwill store opened only recently and this was my first visit. Nothing camera related in the display cases. I ventured back to the nic nac section and found a box of point and shoots and "giveaway" cameras. In it I found a Canonet 28 with instructions, ca 1975 product guide and Canolite D. $7.99! I didn't bother trying to chisel 'em. No battery in the camera or flash so no leaks to clean up. Generally good condition but needs new seals on the back door. I'l stick a battery in it and report back. For you cine fans, there's a Vivitar super 8 of some description there. Heavy. Make a good hammer! Bill P.S. The battery didn't revive it. A quick attempt at cleaning the contacts didn't either. Looks like a more careful going over will be required.

Here's a couple of shots from cameras that followed me home recently. My son washing his car. Leicaflex SL with 28/2.8 Elmarit-R and Fuji 200 print film. 1/250 @ f~5.6. The background is out of focus. With this lens and aperture just about everything should be sharp. I think the Leica is focusing somewhere other than where the viewfinder is showing me! Danny Morris Band at Capn' Hiram's. Pentax Spotmatic with 105/2.8 Takumar and Walgreens(Fuji?) 200 print film. 1/125 @ f~4. If you are ever in Cocoa Beach or Melbourne, FL, SEE THIS BAND! Danny is an ace at 60s surf guitar licks. Think the Ventures and Dick Dale & the Del Tones. Drummer Frank is hamming it up here. He usually wears a serious face. The 105 Takumar behaves very well here considering the big blob of schmutz that's growing in it. Bill

About thirty miles. Ten miles further than I thought! The shuttle was out of sight when the sound reached us about two minutes or more after launch. I was near this location for the night launch in December, '06. The initial launch was below my horizon but it lit the sky in spectacular fashion.

NASA Space Shuttle Atlantis launched from the Kennedy Space Center at 7:38pm Friday, June 8th. Here's the launch captured from the Eau Gallie causeway in Indialantic, Florida. Kodacolor 400 color print film, 1/1000 @ f/8, Canon A-1, 500/8 Canon FD mirror lens, tripod. Lessons learned for next time; Get closer, use Kiron 2X7 teleconverter!

Oops! I posted my photo then noticed this is the TLR forum. I did own a Rollei at one time. Does that get me off the hook?
I had a Hasselblad for a couple of years in the late eighties. Decided to sell it before I bought any accessories. I made $150 profit! Immediately spent on more Canon stuff.
John - I guess I should seek help. I own five Mamiya 35s. One is a Tower, one is labeled Sears, the third an Argus, #4 a Nikkorex and the 5th is a 1000 DTL. Then there's the Sears cameras, two of which are Mamiyas, four Ricohs and one Chinon. Three Topcons, two that I suspect are Cosinas. Six Cosinas that include two Topcons, two Vivitars, one Voigtlander and one genuine Cosina. Two Chinons in G.A.F. disguise. Canons of which I've lost count, Mirandas, Konicas, Fujica, Yashica, Petri, Minolta and a token East German, a Contax D. Oops... forgot the Nikon! I'M SO CONFUSED!!

My attempt at retro. Ball point pen and cheap note book. The paper cup of Maxwell House is out of the picture... Bill

The C-44 looks like a real camera, unlike it's more famous sibling. How long was it in production?
