It seems that most T4 adapters will work with TX lenses, but TX adapters normally don't work on T4 lenses. Luckily I have a Soligor T4 adapter, but I'm worried that the Vivitar 400/6.3 (TX mount) might be one of the TX mount lenses that is incompatible with the T4 mount... The only TX mount that I have used on a T4 lens is the M42 "Universal" mount. Coupled M42 adapters for Fuji and Mamiya I haven't tried. Each T4 adapter I've tried on a TX lens has worked as intended. Have fun with 'em! Bill

I have the 25/4 Snapshot Skopar. A very noticeable difference when compared with the 50 year old designs of my Canon RF lenses!

Randy: The gull was laughing with you, not at you.
Dave: Indeed they do. The heron was two pilings closer, then saw I was carrying a Yashica.

This is the common one R, Heron. Not the unusual, two R, variety! I was able to walk up to within 20 feet of this one before it flew away. Taken at sunset on the St. Sebastian River in Roseland, FL. FujiFilm 200, 1/250 @ f~5.6, Yashica TL Electro-X, 50/1.7 Yashinon.

Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me was written by the late Warren Zevon of Werewolves of London fame. Linda Ronstadt made it famous. Memory is a bit shakier on City Of New Orleans. I think it was written by Steve Goodman, also deceased.

Right, for ten points, Curt! And I thought Randy would have been first to guess correctly!! First of these that I've other than in a magazine. It is a larger, roomier car than the original Cobra Daytona Coupe. Pete Brock, who styled the original car, also drew up this one. While all the dimensions are different, there's no mistaking what it is. The wheels are styled to resemble the original Halibrand magnesium racing wheels. They are not exact replicas.

Waiting for the green light in St. Augustine, FL. I think the mini-van driver chose the wrong competitor! Bill

Me and my shadow! Professional driver, closed course. Don't try this at home etc... The local Harley dealer celebrated their birthday with bikers, bands and stunt riders. Only angle I could get was against the sun. Kodak 400 overexposed 2 stops. 1/500 @ f~8. Canon AE-1 with 50/1.8.

Randy, if they ever finish restoring it, we'll try to get some more pictures of it. They only need to raise another 2 million or so, lol It was really neat to see it, though there's no engine in it at the moment. Much of it is still stripped down to the metal studwork, though one of the passenger cars is just about done. And every where I go....that hobo is still stalking me, lol! Here's the Flying Yankee the day it was being moved from Claremont Junction, NH. The original restoration goal was one million and the Claremont-Concord shop was awarded the job. A friend works for the C&C and I was able to drop in and check progress periodically. Unfortunately not a lot of progress was made at Claremont so the project was trucked away. I hope they're able to get it running again in my lifetime! The quality of the picture isn't so hot. I think this was picture 26 on a 24 exposure roll.

I was in a model RR club when I lived in Vermont. One of the guys went to Cass scenic and brought back some interesting video of the three cylinder Shay. The shot is toward a curve in the tracks, no train in sight, but you sure can hear it. From the stack exhaust it sounds like it's going 70 miles an hour, then it lumbers around the bend at about ten mph!

Johnf nailed that one. It is a Shay type, though whether it is a genuine Shay or a copy, I can't tell. The type originated as a logging locomotive able to handle rougher track and sharper curves than conventional side rod locos.

The Sea Furys seem to have come out of the woodwork in the past several years. I saw my first at Sun-N-Fun two years ago. I think three were there this year.
