The one I use is Photoscape. It's free, easy to navigate, and fun to use. Doug

Hi All! It's been a while since I posted. There are a lot of reasons, partly a change in lifestyle, partly a change in interests. I've gone back to work, which at my age wasn't an easy transition, and I've been spending a lot more time with my writing instrument collection. There is an important (to me at least) reason for coming back. Please excuse any rants. When I went back to work, ca.6 months ago, I found that I needed a new cell phone as mine was outdated. I found what was just right for me. A Trac phone. Let me add that I'm, at 62, the oldest at work. One of my colleagues suggested that I go have coffee with them. I aggreed to, so she says " Send me a text, when you've got time." I said that I'm sorry, I don't know how to text. Of course everyone in the office thought that was a real hoot, and are trying to teach me. The thing is, I don't really care if I know how to or not. For me, a phone is a tool used to speak to someone. I don't need to get online with it. I don't need to take photos with it. And I certainly DON"T want to be available around the clock It seems I've sold all my film cameras for all the wrong reasons. I forgot that fiddling around with them reminded me of simpler times, maybe even times that I was happier than now. I still have quite a few digitals, and cheap TLRs that I use for TTV photography. It's very relaxing. Cameras still serve a purpose, even if it's almost impossible to get film for them, and get it developed. I'm done ranting. I'm back. Doug

Very nice shots. I'm partial to the look of "vintage" photography, and enjoyed the shots taken with the Agfa most. Good job!!

Hi All! I've been away for quite some time, and just discovered this thread today. I found an FZ5 at the local flea market for 20USD. I was so shocked at the price that I didn't even haggle with the seller! It's like new and was only missing the charger, which I've just ordered. Lucky for me the battery still has a charge and I was able to test it before buying. It's a beautiful little camera, and I'm sure that we'll get along just fine Doug

I had a Polaroid of some sort, I think it was 640 x 320, that was back in the 90's. My next was a Fuji FinePix S5200 which I use extensively, I haven't used any film since then. Most of the photos I've posted here were taken with it. Now that I've got a new job, I haven't had much time to get it out. I would love to have a Canon RC250, in white

Thank you all for the kind words! I worked in a total care residence, and found that the work suited me perfectly. For some reason (maybe my beliefs which I won't mention here), I felt drawn to this kind of work. I know I'll be happy there. I'll also be able to support both my hobbies, which is something I haven't been able to do lately. Truls, Besides cameras and photographica, I collect vintage fountain pens, pencils, paper, etc. I'm also trying to improve my penmanship by re-learning some old writing styles, for example, Palmer and Spencerian Business writing, cursive italic, and copperplate. It's fun and good exercise for my brain Doug

Hi All, It seems a lot of us have been busy with other things, eh? I sold off most of my collection to support my other passion, vintage writing instruments. It wasn't much of a collection anyway, so I decided to start over again. I also decided that retirement isn't cutting it, fixed income stinks , so after a VERY long search, I've rejoined the workforce. It's hard to start a new chapter at 62, but I found a position as a residential counselor in a home for the developmentally disabled. I've done it before, and love the work, so I should fit right in. I start this coming tuesday, the 10th, and can't wait Doug

Hi Phil! Nine cameras in one day must be some sort of record! I've found that sometimes contacts aren't as clean as they look, they still might have some oxidation on them. Try using an old (pencil type) ink eraser on them. That might do the trick. I've brought quite a few "dead" cameras back to life that way. Doug

Hi All! It's been a very long, hard winter, but the first spring flowers are finally showing themselves. I was only a couple of inches from these, using the Anscoflex and my FinePix on macro. Just wanted to see how close I could get without using anything fancy. Doug
