Nikkormat FT2, SN5158507. Working meter. This one has mirror lock-up, depth-of-field preview and a metering prong for non-AI lenses. A great everyday user camera. I have another FT2 now that I'll keep in the collection. I got this one from Craigslist/a guy in Portland, OR on a business trip several years back. Email if interested, or if you need additional photos or info. Thanks, Mark

Nikon EL2, SN 7819164. Working meter, fresh mirror bumper, and felt light seals. Reason for sale is that I just acquire two other EL2's for the collection. $7.50 shipping to US / $10:00 Canada. Email me if you're interested. Thanks! Mark

Nikon F with FTN metering head (working). SN 7313940 The shutter speeds below 1/4 are catchy meaning that the slow speed drive train will need to be cleaned. Please send me an email and let me know what you feel would be a fair price + $7.50 shipping US / $10:00 shipping to Canada. Thanks! Mark

I know it's not much to write home about, Wayne, but I regret selling an old Savage 340B - a bolt action, box mag rifle chambered in 30-30 Win. I think you can find them used for about a buck-fifty... I'm not going back though!

Roy,
I never really was attracted to the K1000 either - but certainly respect it. I was in Tulsa, OK at Apertures Photograhic Supply yesterday and had the same conversation with the storeowner: about the lowly K1000's that he:
a.) Picks up at thrift stores for nickels b.) Sells to students with a lens for $40 or so c.) buys the same K1000's at the same thrift stores the next season to re-sell...!
I can remember photography class in highschool in the mid 80's. Most kids had a K1000. A few had an FM, or AE1, one lucky cat sported an F. I was there with my plastic fantastic N2000.

Matt, Not sure where you are in Scotland, but you ought to look up the great Matt Laver in Edinburgh if you're interested in photography. One of the very best in the business today. www.mattlaver.comHe was eleted a Royal Society fellowship in his 20's... near impossible feat.

Hello, * First 35mm: Nikon L35AF - this was Nikon's first-ever point/shoot. * Received: 1984 - Christmas Present * Still have "one" - but not "it" - a childhood friend, who envied mine bought one, then gave it to me 25 years later for my collection. Mine was traded for an N2000 a year later. * Working fine - had my 8 year old shoot a role of Kodak 400 print through it last week.

The last Montgomery Ward store I saw was in Long Beach, CA in 1998. It was about to close down. My grandfather used to call the store "the Monkey Ward".

Doug - nice find - and a great price. Here's a photo of my last Hi-Matic. I accidentally sold it last year when liquidating a large box of Minolta gear at a camera show. I miss it terribly! Mark

He'd do that once or twice in Texas...but that's it. Racoons and skunks would quickly move in and make a lavish home.

Wayne - thanks for sharing. Wonderful photos. This is the kind of film photo legacy I'm trying to build for my daughters. Just shot 20 rounds of XP2/400 of the gals in their Easter dresses yesterday through a Nikkormat EL (not the new one - it ended up needing seals).
Peter - Were the FP4 and HP4 Ilford films?
