I've always prefered the use of a coaxial plug in flash socket anyhow so that wouldn't be a problem for me... nice looking camera but know little about the Rolleiflex and have never had the pleasure of using one Bob

Hi Dee dont know if there will ever be a time where film cameras will not be of interest.. I think most collectors are like me and although items are outdated and perhaps some are unusable its interesting just to be able to hold something in your hand which was 'once upon a time' considered leading edge technology.. have a couple of really old disposable cameras here which are little more then a cardboard box with a film in them but I can imagine someone marvelling at being able to catch a picture of what he was viewing.. even if the quality of that picture is pretty crappy (pardon that word)

as I kid I remember my viewmaster 3d viewer and it worked great.. very realistic pictures with your eyes focusing on two slightly different images but have always considered those multi coloured pics as just an out of focus joke.. havent seen the latest attempts and maybe was just my eyes anyhow but those twin coloured glasses did little for me Im afraid

Thanks Mickey I'll keep my eye out for one... also yes Conan I'm way west of Lowmead a place called Kolonga (I think that must mean many trees few people) and the whole place is probably not worth anywhere near as much as a city block... no farming, used to have goats but too old to keep fences in decent repair now.. got quite a bit of shed space but collect many different things also and display cabinets are in short supply Good luck with the collecting

I do hate invasive advertising that just cuts in over the top of whatever your discussing or viewing.. especially when it causes me to lose what I've written trying to get rid of it

Hi Ken my reply may be a little late but every time I come on line I get side tracked reading old posts.. anyhow welcome I wouldn't say there are NO polaroid fans here.. I have a fair collection now.. when I first started collecting I didn't think much of instant camera technology and never bothered to buy them or movie cameras but came across a box of half a dozen old polaroids at a clearing sale that needed a new home and were very cheap.. that was enough to get me started and so it goes...

Nice cameras.. have never seemed to come across a black bodied one myself.. always seems to have gone before I get there i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss227/robcatastrophy/spotmatic_zpsqybujtxx.jpgagain my picture doesnt seem to import dont know why but doesnt matter I must admit I've always kind of liked earlier SLRs not only Pentax but Ricohs Minolta and all the others.. cameras before the electronics started making a lot of the decisions for you but saying that, the addition of linked light meters was very helpful
