Welcome Jack !
Chinese cameras sounds very interesting, I have a few of them in my collection, a Seagull 203 folder and two or three of the Rolleiflex-copies. I took some good quality 6x6 pictures with these TLR`s in the late 1980`s.

Have many thanks, guys !
I am now living about 30 miles away from Vienna, half of the route is a highway, so I get to downtown Vienna in 40 minutes ( in the morning ), in the evening on the way home it takes 1 hour due to the daily traffic jam.
I decided to live in the countryside, because you are not able to afford a house in Vienna, or the Viennese surroundings. And with increasing age, I prefer to live more comfortable and in a relaxed atmosphere. A big balcony is not bad, but a garden is simply better :-) As well as quadruple living space, garage of my own, friendly neighbours, where you always can get a free beer ;-) and so on. I had my apartment in Vienna for exactly 10 years and do still not know my direct neighbours...

There is an almost unknown place near the Viennese harbour: The Cemetery of the Nameless. All the people that drowned, or had been found in the river Danube and could not be identified are buried here. Some of them are foreign sailors, suicide and crime victims. Really a spooky place. MIK

Hi friends ! My moving from Vienna to the north-eastern part of Lower Austria is now completed successfully. My apartment is as good as sold and internet connection had been installed here some days ago, so I can be part of the CC again Packing and transporting my collection was the hardest work to do ( and I only broke one camera ! ) The furniture had been transported by a moving company: Two guys with the physique of a professional wrestler. Here is a part of my collection ( current status ): Living in the countryside is so much different than living in a big town. In the morning I hear the belling of the deer from the nearby forest instead of the traffic noise from the nearby main road... MIK

Hi Doug, This one really looks like an military Dodge from the 1940`s. Here is a picture which i took two years ago, there are a lot of similarities ( except the third axle ). Did you buy it ? A little bit of work and you get a new car ! Hehehe... MIK

Not so nice weather over here. After 10 days with temperatures up to 36° C and bright sunshine, this week is rainy, partly stormy and quite cold. I am delighted, because my office has no air condition...

RBT in Germany built some high quality and very expensive stereo cameras and accessories ( I dont know if they are still in business ). A friend of mine had one based on two Yashicas. A masterpiece of precision engineering. As I can remember, he paid about 2.000.- USD for it.

Congratulations Mickey,
this is really a fantastic find ! The Paxette is a fine camera, as well as the Brilliant. I just love these old Kodak folders. Beeing early at the market can never be wrong. I usually go there also half an hour before opening, that`s the time where you can find the treasures and bargains. Unfortunately I will not find the time for visiting flea markets the next months.
Have fun with your "new" cameras !

Bernd,
That`s a very interesting link indeed. The whole range from junk store to sophisticated, photography is a very broad field. I like the pocket fisheye ! The action man 126 camera showed up here regularly at flea markets about 15 years ago. I bought one back then for ca. 3.- EUR ( pictured at the "plastic fantastic"- section under "collecting the funny stuff" ).

Yes it is the red button on the left as seen from the front, the right one is for setting the shutter speed.
